Rukme blends the ingredients Indian households have trusted for generations — amla, hibiscus, bhringraj, turmeric — with modern formulation, so every bottle does what it promises. No fillers, no shortcuts.
It started with a recipe, not a business plan.
Rukme started in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, when our founder Smt. Rukmani Kaushik couldn't find a hair oil that actually matched the one her grandmother used to make — the kind with real amla and bhringraj, simmered slowly, not squeezed out of a mass-market bottle full of mineral oil and fragrance.
So she started making it herself, in small batches, for family and friends. The response was the same every time: "where do I buy this?" That question became Rukme — a line of skincare and haircare built on ingredients India has trusted for centuries, tested and reformulated with the same rigor as any modern lab.
Today every product we sell is still made in small batches, still checked by hand, and still true to the recipe it started from.
